The Global Energy Industry - Evolution, Trends and Career Opportunities - William Fraizer '78

Come to this session to hear Will Fraizer ’78 speak on the global energy and LNG industry.  He was previously the Commissioning & Start-up Technical Manager and Deputy Site Engineering Manager for Chevron’s Australia Business Unit.   At Dartmouth, Will Fraizer double majored in Engineering Sciences & Chemistry and then received a Master of Science Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1980. Will was hired by Chevron Research in Richmond, CA to do R&D in alternate energy and biomass conversion after receiving his MS, and has worked with Chevron for over 35 years. In addition to his involvement in the Gorgon Project, Will has worked on Chevron’s Wheatstone LNG Project in Australia and Texas, and as the Manager of Environment, Safety & Health at the Kutubu Project in Papua New Guinea, and for Chevron Overseas Petroleum's worldwide operations.

A Conversation with Dickie George ’70: Cybersecurity, Mars, & Careers in Applied Research

Dickie George ’70 is a Senior Cyber Security Analyst at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab (APL), a non-profit research center with over 5,000 employees. A Math major at Dartmouth, Dickie provides expertise on national security, creating and evaluating security solutions (he made Obama’s Blackberry while at the NSA), and recruits STEM students for internships and full-time jobs. Join us for an informal conversation with Dickie and learn about his career and STEM opportunities in applied research.
