We will show how MATLAB has evolved over more than 25 years from a simple matrix calculator to a powerful technical computing environment. We will demonstrate several examples of MATLAB applications concluding with a few comments about future developments, including multicore and Parallel MATLAB.
About the Speaker
Cleve Moler is the original author of MATLAB and one of the founders of the MathWorks. He is currently chairman and chief scientist of the company, as well as a member of the National Academy of Engineering and past president of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics.
