Thayer Legacy Society for Planned Giving
A planned gift to Thayer School makes you an automatic member of the Thayer Legacy Society, named after the School's founder, General Sylvanus Thayer.
Members of the Legacy Society strengthen the School's foundation by supporting students, faculty, and programs today and into the future.
Join the committed Legacy members who help secure the future of engineering education at Thayer School.
To meet your personal, financial, and philanthropic goals, we offer many creative and flexible options. Here are 3 of the most popular types of planned gifts:
- Bequest — designate an outright gift through your will, or name Thayer School as a beneficiary of a retirement plan.
- Life Income Plan — make a substantial gift to Thayer School while still providing for your personal financial needs or support of others.
- Special Gift Planning Program — tailor your gift to meet your personal and philanthropic goals. This can include gifts of real estate, lead trusts, and donor advised funds.
To find out which planned giving option is right for you, contact Jeanne West at (603) 646-3639 or email Jeanne.West@dartmouth.edu.
Supporting tomorrow's engineers:
"I valued my Thayer School education throughout my career, so I'm happy to have been able to establish a Charitable Remainder Trust that will support future generations of engineering students."

"Thayer School will always be important to me, and I wanted to be sure that this was captured when Jamie and I created our wills. I benefited from the education and attention I received at Thayer School, and I continue to benefit as an alumna. I want to be able to support and give back to Thayer School as long as possible."
