Introductory Case Prep Session

11/06/13 5:00 - 6:00 pm at Maclean B01 (Zaleski Auditorium)

This was an introductory session to actually let interested students know what the field of Consulting is all about.

More and more companies are now adopting the Case Interview method to test applicants. Hence, irrespective of whether a student is applying for a Consulting position or not, it is crucial to be well-versed with solving cases.

The first person who presented at the session is a employee of Bain and Company. Benjamin Grant is currently pursuing his MBA from the Tuck School of Business here at Dartmouth. He spoke about a typical day in the life of a Management Consultant. Ben also solved a basic case in order to give a sense of what to expect during case interviews.

The second speaker was Maxime Guillaume. Maxime was a consultant at a Botique Consulting firm called Parthenon Group. He is also pursing his MBA from the Tuck School of Business.

Together, Ben and Maxime gave a good insight into what it takes to be a consultant and what one can expect in a case interview.
